About the role:
Centre of Vocational Education Pty Ltd trading as COVE Training is a Registered Training Organisation that is accredited with VicRoads to train and assess heavy vehicle licences.
COVE is seeking to engage a Forklift Trainer and Assessor to work out of its Seaford, Dandenong, and Thomastown locations as well as onsite.
Attractive hourly rate. Six-month probationary period. Position may convert to part-time or full-time following a review.
Requirements:
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- High Risk Work training and assessment.
- Interaction with a range of clients from across a broad cultural landscape.
- On-site training and assessment.
Essential Skills and Experience
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment as a minimum or equivalent.
- Holds a Victorian Forklift Licence.
- Experience as a forklift operator.
- Applicant has been approved by WorkSafe Victoria as an accredited HRW Assessor. If not, applicant must be willing to undergo the accreditation process.
- Customer service skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willing to work 1 – 2 Saturdays per month.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience as a WorkSafe approved trainer and assessor.
- Other qualifications looked upon favourably, including:
- Heavy vehicle licence
- Working at heights
- White Card
Availability:
Available Mon-Fri 7:00 am – 5:00 pm and every second Saturday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
- Must be reliable and professional.
- Able to provide driver history https://billing.vicroads.vic.gov.au/driverhistory/
- Ability to train in other licences and/or tickets will be looked at favourably.
- Will be required to apply for a Police Check and a Working With Children’s card.
